The new Skin 3 P revolutionises the concept of lightweight as Niviuk have known it and offers the perfect balance between weight, performance and durability. The wing’s flying characteristics are very similar to that of a conventional wing, which means it can be flown in thermals and strong wind conditions without compromising on safety and comfort. Much more stable than any single-surface glider on the market. From the moment of inflation and throughout the flight, the Skin 3-P allows you to fly even at high altitudes amongst high peaks with confidence. The use of ultralight materials (Porcher Skytex 27), combined with the application of the various Niviuk technologies resulted in a lightweight, comfortable and extremely versatile paraglider.Niviuk Skin 3 P
In terms of the wing’s structure, the SNiviuk Skin 3 P features a new self-inflating leading edge that means greater wing cohesion and facilitates higher speeds. Its internal structure has been completely redesigned. Based on the combination of ribs and diagonals, it has an optimal load distribution and this has allowed us to reduce the total line-set by more than 40%.
Niviuk Skin 3 P
A new system of tensioning of the materials, first used when making the Icepeak Evox competition wing, prevents any type of deformation that degrades or hinders its thermal performance and contributes to its manoeuvrability.
Another innovation is its ultralight risers. Based on a combination of 6 mm Dyneema lyros webbing and 3 mm Dyneema rope, they incorporate a revolutionary new trimmer system widely used in high-performance wings. Thanks to this new design the wing features a trimmer system with a simple, easy-to-use, very light and without metal parts that increase the final weight since each riser only weighs 45 g including the brake handles and the trimmer system.
Thus the Skin 3 P has a longer brake travel and therefore better passive safety. The pilot can more accurately control the speed of the wing and ensure a more precise landing with a smoother flare.
The Skin 3 P also incorporates the ultralight IKS connection system between the risers and the lines. This system is based on a simple Dyneema loop provided with its own locking and blocking system. The use of Nitinol (TNT) in the profile reduced the weight even further and this ensures more uniform inflation for a better and easier take-off.
Without a doubt, the Skin 3 P is the ultimate in lightness, but it also incorporates everything necessary for any paragliding and high mountain enthusiast to feel safe and confident to complete any adventures.

3D Leading Edge
Adding an extra seam to the leading edge on the span axis of the glider helps to shape a compact 3D profile and have better connections to the new 3DP front panel’s layout.
3D Pattern Cut Optimization
The latest glider generation requires a new pattern design and an optimized fabric cutting process based on 3D technology.
Interlock System
The IKS (Interlock System) is an ultra-lightweight, high strength connecting system that aims to complement the light product range and replace the current systems based on the use of the maillons and/or carabiners. This new system is based on a secure connection using a simple Dyneema loop provided with a fixing and locking system, ensuring the complete efficiency and safety of the connection, and allowing the equipment to be ready at all times, either with or without load.
RAM Air Intake
Evolution and constant improving in all Niviuk products is the essence of the DNA of Niviuk’s R&D team. Thanks to the new technologies created over recent years, Niviuk has conceived a new and more evolved and higher performing gliders. In this context, the RAM Air Intake technology should be pointed out.
Structured Leading Edge
The SLE provides more rigidity and stability along the span of the leading edge but also allows full flexibility along both the vertical and horizontal axis of each open cell. The SLE ensures ease of movement on the ground and high security in the air during turbulence and whilst flying at speed.

Can I turn in thermals?
Without a doubt! Both models are designed for the pilot to enjoy more top-to-bottom flights or sledge rides. Precise control and its small turning radius allow not only thermalling, but also precise centring in the cores. In both Skin 3 and Skin 3P, the feedback about the air mass is direct, as it is in conventional wings.
What kind of flights are possible with the Skin 3/3P?
The next generation of the Skin will broaden your horizons. With its great performance and excellent manoeuvrability, you can travel for miles and complete vol biv adventures. The fact that it is a single-surface wing does not influence its flight behaviour and it flies like a standard wing. In addition, it is a very suitable wing for pilots who are in their progression and learning phase as it transmits a lot of confidence and offers great accessibility.
