👨✈️ Swing TWIN RS 2 Optimized for Professional and Recreational Tandem Flights
Confidence from Takeoff to Landing
Right from launch, the TWIN RS 2 offers effortless inflation and fast, smooth lift. Since it incorporates RAST (Reinforced Air Structure Technology), internal pressure stays balanced, which reduces deformation during turbulence. As a result, pilots gain more authority in challenging air.
Consequently, brake inputs feel direct and reliable, offering control that inspires trust in every situation. Due to its responsive yet forgiving behavior, instructors and pro pilots can focus more on the passenger’s experience. In addition, the glider’s refined profile enhances pitch stability, which means safer, more consistent performance.
Versatile and Comfortable for All Passengers
From experienced tandem enthusiasts to first-time fliers, the Swing TWIN RS 2 accommodates a wide range of weights and body types. Because of its inclusive design, no one gets left on the ground. In fact, its broad certified weight range supports flexible payloads without compromising safety or performance.
Additionally, the canopy’s structure maintains excellent pitch and roll stability. Therefore, the ride remains smooth and enjoyable, even during longer flights or dynamic conditions. Beyond that, its thoughtful geometry helps reduce pilot fatigue, which further enhances the tandem flying experience.

Performance for the Demanding Pilot
Because professionals demand reliability and efficiency, the TWIN RS 2 delivers both. With a glide ratio refined for cross-country tandem flights and a trim speed that handles headwinds well, it opens up wider options for exploration. Moreover, its canopy design encourages excellent climb performance in thermals, supporting extended airtime.
Even during tight maneuvers or varying conditions, this glider responds with predictable feedback. Therefore, pilots stay connected, confident, and capable at every altitude. Furthermore, the reduced brake pressure supports smoother handling over long flights.
Swing TWIN RS 2 Enjoyment for Every Passenger
For passengers, the ride is pure joy. Gentle turns, minimal oscillation, and a smooth descent allow them to relax and absorb the experience. Since many tandem passengers are newcomers, this level of comfort builds excitement and trust.
Moreover, the Swing TWIN RS 2 allows the shared dream of flight to feel empowering, not intimidating. Consequently, more people can experience the freedom and joy that only paragliding can offer. And with every flight, trust builds and joy multiplies.

Swing TWIN RS 2 FEATURES
RAST® – for maximum control
On paragliders with RAST® the canopy is divided into different internal pressurised sections by one or more fabric panels, some with valves running crossways to the direction of flight. This makes it possible to influence the air flows within the canopy.
With RAST, the air equalisation flows within the paraglider canopy can be regulated through defined openings. This applies both when filling,(during take-off) and when emptying. In the case of pressure loss, e.g. caused by canopy collapse in turbulent air, the relative internal pressure of the CORE section increases, while the BUFFER section absorbs the introduced energy by deformation. Furthermore, RAST can be used as an additional support to the leading and trailing edge, which has a positive effect on flight comfort. As RAST connects the ribs over the entire profile height, the construction has a stiffening effect and reinforcements and/or stiffening elements can be saved or even completely replaced by this special construction method.
The RAST system has proved very successful over the years and now, in the TWIN RS 2, we have adapted it specifically to the needs of tandem pilots.
The patented bulkhead partition system is in part fitted with additional valves so as to ensure that inflation is as efficient as possible when launching.
Air thus flows into the canopy in a controlled way. The result is very harmonious inflation behaviour. Once airborne, both pilot and passenger have the full benefit of the increased safety and comfortable RAST feeling during flight.
Big Ears Aid – for fatigue-free fast descent
The riser is one of the links between you and your paraglider. It has been optimised for the TWIN RS 2, to make it easy to use and to ensure good ergonomics.
It has an easy-to-use big ears kit, which can be used to pull down and lock the outer A-lines. To re-open big ears, all you have to do is pull gently and they open up again.
Riser – for more speed reserve
The riser design means that the trimmer runs so smoothly that redirection is not needed. The trim travel of up to 15cm can be reduced in one go, with the T-handle making it comfortable to hold on to the trimmer strap. An elastic cord keeps the T-handle close to the riser when the trimmers are closed.
Swing TWIN RS 2 Nitinol Wires – for maximum profile stability with minimum weight
Nitinol is a high strength, temperature and corrosion resistant, shape-memory alloy. The name Nitinol is an acronym for Nickel Titanium Naval Ordnance Laboratory. SWING has long been one of the first paraglider manufacturers to use this material, mainly known for its use in medical technology, as a nose reinforcement in paraglider construction.
For paraglider models where weight reduction is not the top priority, we have inserted the Nitinol reinforcements into nylon tubes. This increases the cross-section – and thus the contact area for the upper sail material – without having to forego the positive properties (resistance to buckling, length and shape stability) of the memory material. This leads to an improvement in the longevity of the glider.
Miniribs – for a homogeneous trailing edge
Ballooning at the trailing edge of a paraglider has a significant influence on performance, control pressure and handling. Miniribs halve the cell spacing in this area and thus reduce ballooning to give a uniform trailing edge.
The highlight:
The seams of the miniribs run on the inside of the upper sail, so that even during launches on unfavourable ground, no threads can get caught on the ground and be pulled out.
Robust material mix – for durability and easy handling
The materials selected, along with how the paraglider is looked after, play a considerable part in how long it will last.
We have used a combination of a robust top surface with a lightweight under-surface for the canopy of the TWIN RS 2. This ensures it will have good durability but at the same time keeps its weight down.
The line system for the TWIN RS 2 is designed to be easy to use. The sheathed main lines and intermediate lines are easy to sort and inspire confidence in your passenger. The unsheathed aramid top lines are notable for the fact that they do not get caught up.
This makes launch preparations easier.
Reinforced ribs – for greater profile fidelity
There is an especially high load on the ribs of a tandem because of its high all-up weight. The Twin RS 2 has additional reinforcements on the ribs, in the main direction of pull, on the line attachment points that are most stressed, in order to transfer the load directly to the top surface. This means that profile accuracy is optimised for the entire life of your TWIN RS 2.
White bottom sail without design – for your advertising
We intentionally didn’t put any design on the bottom surface of the Twin RS 2, so that you can use it later if you need to as advertising space for your business, flying school or for sponsors.
