glider lightly loaded: generally slower at flight, this can make it easier to exploit thermals. On the other hand, theglider is more sensitive to turbulence, with more frequent “flashing” movements (although generally without consequence).
glider highly loaded: flight fast and more resistant to turbulence. Closures are less frequent but can be more dynamic. Since the speed is higher, the use of thermals is a little more technical, requiring a shorter reaction time from the pilot.
